KENNY founder Kenny Adcock founded Brainstorm is 2000, and has been a chameleon ever since. Constantly changing his role to grow Brainstorm to its full potential. Kenny is the heart of BSD and loves being as involved with every client now as much as he did in the early days.
Nic senior designer Nic Lauretano was born and raised on Pawleys Island. His interest in design originated from his early interest in skateboard and surfboard graphics. After attending the School of Visual Arts in New York, Nic worked in video-game package and logo design. During his time in New York, he also worked extensively with Spike TV. Upon returning to South Carolina, Nic took the position of Creative Principal with Domain magazine. This experience gave him tremendous local exposure and opened the door to a future with Brainstorm Design.
AUSTIN senior developer Born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, William Austin Ducworth studied Computer Information Systems at Clemson University. Austin completed a seven-month internship with BMW's Spartanburg-based manufacturing facility as an internal systems programmer. Upon graduating in 2003, he worked for a Greenville-based software company before coming to Charleston to work as the Director of Technology for a local nonprofit organization. Immediately recognized for his skill is both HTML and PHP database programming, he was hired as Brainstorm's Senior Developer in June of 2007. Austin has since become an essential component to the Brainstorm team.
BEN production manager / programmer Ben Marks was born in Richmond, Virginia and grew up in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He received his BS in Psychology with a double minor in Business Management and Biology from Guilford College. Ben developed an interest in computer programming after managing the technological needs for several automotive manufacturers, events, and print publications. He joined Brainstorm as a programmer in late 2006 and has since moved into the role of Production Manager. Ben has proven an essential asset in coordinating the needs of Brainstorm's clients, while simultaneously ensuring that all applicable deadlines are met within the company.
ROB designer Rob Daniel was born in Richmond, Virginia, but settled on South Carolina's Isle of Palms at age ten. He attended the College of Charleston, where he majored in theatre, with a minor in film. His introduction to graphic design stemmed from a need to promote his own theatrical productions. Upon moving to New York, his design interest developed into a full-time career as a freelance web/graphic designer. This experience provided the opportunity to learn every aspect of the design and development process. "When you don't have a developer on hand to write code, you have to learn how to do things yourself." As a result, Rob has learned PHP, Javascript, ActionScript and other programming languages, but more importantly he has learned that there is almost no limit to what can happen in a web browser, so long as you are willing to invest the time and energy. Rob came to Brainstorm out of the desire to align himself with a company that maintains its focus on design - while simultaneously exceeding the functional needs of its clients.
